Living with anxiety or OCD can feel overwhelming. When you experience frequent intrusive thoughts or worry, avoidance can feel like the easiest way to cope. While it may help in the short term, it can also close you off from what is important and make your life feel smaller. In therapy, we focus on helping you respond differently to anxiety so you can move toward what matters most. My style is warm, collaborative, and encouraging. I emphasize self-compassion while also gently challenging patterns that are keeping you stuck.
I work with clients experiencing anxiety in everyday life (related to relationships, work stress, or life transitions) as well as anxiety stemming from specific concerns including OCD, panic attacks, social anxiety, general anxiety and phobias (driving, flying, medical-related, etc.).
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 14 year experience treating anxiety and OCD. My approach integrates CBT, ACT, and Mindful Self-Compassion. I offer video sessions for talk therapy and in-person sessions for exposure-based work. I have completed training through IOCDF and I am a member of a long standing (2015) weekly consultation group of OCD specialists and a monthly consultation group of Anxiety Disorder specialists.
I am committed to ongoing training in cultural competency to be able to support clients from all different backgrounds in my practice.
