Approximately 65% of the caseload is made up of clients with OCD and/or Anxiety Disorders
The primary focus of treatment when disorders co-occur with OCD remains Exposure/Response Prevention (ERP).Early sessions will focus on mapping out how the disorders interact and maintain each other. If necessary, treatment would begin by targeting any symptoms and/or disorders that might interfere with the effectiveness of ERP. In some cases, ERP would be slower-paced and/or modified to account for the other condition.
I have worked with clients with OCD and Anxiety Disorders for more than 15 years. All levels of my training; including graduate school, internship, and postdoctoral residency have included a component of training in Exposure and Response Prevention. Post-licensure, I have actively pursued continuing education in an effort to remain current in best practices for the treatment of OCD and Anxiety Disorders.
