Narrative of Services:

Thrive with CBT is a Boise-based outpatient therapy practice providing evidence-based CBT and TEAM-CBT for adults throughout Idaho, in person and via telehealth. We treat anxiety disorders, OCD and related concerns, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns. Approximately 20% of our practice involves OCD or related disorders, and our clinicians have collectively treated approximately 50 individuals with OCD-spectrum concerns. Treatment is structured, compassionate, and goal-oriented, incorporating exposure-based strategies, cognitive methods, behavioral change, and relapse-prevention planning when clinically appropriate.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

Treatment begins with structured assessment, goal setting, and TEAM-CBT’s Testing, Empathy, Agenda-Setting, and Methods framework. For anxiety and mood concerns, we identify unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and avoidance patterns while building practical coping skills. For habits and addictions, we explore ambivalence, strengthen motivation, and create a personalized plan for behavior change, relapse prevention, and accountability. Treatment is active, collaborative, and tailored to measurable goals.

Training Description:

I have treated individuals with OCD and OCD-spectrum concerns since 2023, including work with college students in a university setting. My training includes TEAM-CBT through the Feeling Good Institute, ERP-focused training, education through the International OCD Foundation, and training with Lasting Change therapy. I use evidence-based, individualized treatment that may include exposure and response prevention, cognitive and behavioral interventions, motivation work, and relapse-prevention planning. I continue to pursue ongoing education and consultation to strengthen my OCD-focused clinical skills.

Diversity Statement:

Thrive with CBT serves adults throughout Idaho through in-person care in Boise and secure telehealth statewide. We welcome clients from diverse racial, cultural, religious, socioeconomic, gender, sexual-orientation, neurodivergent, and family backgrounds. Our practice is committed to providing affirming, accessible, evidence-based care while tailoring treatment to each client’s values, identities, lived experiences, and goals. We recognize that clients may face unique barriers to care and work collaboratively to create a respectful, inclusive therapeutic environment.

My clinical experience includes working with adults from diverse cultural, racial, socioeconomic, religious, and identity backgrounds in university, hospital, outpatient, and non-profit settings. I have supported individuals affected by trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, relationship concerns, and major life transitions from diverse backgrounds. I approach treatment with cultural humility, curiosity, and respect for each client’s lived experience, values, and goals. I regularly consider how culture, identity, access to care, family systems, and systemic stressors may shape a client’s symptoms, treatment preferences, and therapeutic needs.
