Eugene Center for Anxiety and Stress
Eugene Center for Anxiety and Stress (ECAS) is a training-oriented, specialty behavioral health clinic founded in 2019 on a vision to bring evidence-based, inclusive, and multiculturally sensitive treatment and assessment services to the Eugene-Springfield community. Our organization was founded on two pillars. First, we are committed to disseminating empirically-supported treatments for Anxiety Disorders, OCD, and PTSD and evidence-based, therapeutic assessment services. Secondly, we are explicitly anti-oppression as a core value in our work. We recognize that stress and anxiety do not happen in a vacuum, but in the American context, which furthers white, heterosexual, cisgender, thin, and able-bodied ideals that set conditions for reinforcing trauma, shame, and self-blame in addition to perpetuating oppression and discrimination. With these two pillars in mind, we support our diverse clients through direct intervention and assessment services that address both internal and societal factors in their distress.
