New England Center for OCD and Anxiety
The New England Center for OCD and Anxiety (NECOA) is a network of clinics across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, California, New York, Colorado, and Ireland, dedicated to helping individuals of all ages manage anxiety, OCD, and related conditions.
NECOA emphasizes individualized, accessible care through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Evidence-Based Treatments such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), the SPACE parenting program, and the PEERS® program.
Our cognitive-behavioral approach aims to clarify the interplay between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, empowering clients to lead more fulfilling lives. Founded by clinical psychologist Lisa W. Coyne, PhD, and joined by Evelyn R. Gould, PhD, BCBA-D, NECOA combines extensive clinical expertise with a commitment to providing evidence-based outpatient and intensive outpatient care.
Our services are tailored to each client, starting with a comprehensive assessment to guide treatment planning. These include individual therapy, group therapy, intensive outpatient programs, and ERP coaching. We also support parents and caregivers through our Family and Couples Counseling and SPACE programs and emphasize professional training and consultation for clinicians and organizations as an authorized CE provider.
Diversity Statement:
We are a growing, nurturing specialty clinic with a mission of helping our clients build lives that they love by providing excellent evidence-based care. Clinicians of color or in the LGBTQ community, as well as clinicians with expertise in languages other than English are especially encouraged to join to our organization. We strive every day to create a that clinic is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive space for all.
