Description:

OCD & Anxiety Colorado provides a specialized Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and outpatient services for adolescents (ages 10–17) and young adults (18–30’s) experiencing OCD and anxiety disorders. Founded by Alie Bernard Garza, LCSW—an IOCDF Advocate with lived experience of OCD and ADHD—the clinic was created to bring affirming, evidence-based care to the community where she grew up in Superior/Louisville, Colorado.

We provide neurodivergent-affirming care for young people experiencing Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, health anxiety, and school avoidance. Our programs support individuals who need more structure than weekly therapy but do not require inpatient or residential treatment.

Treatment is rooted in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and includes behavioral activation, executive functioning support, family involvement for adolescents, and peer connection.

Our Adolescent IOP (ages 10–17) meets Tuesday–Thursday from 12:00–2:30 PM, and our Young Adult IOP (ages 18–30’s) meets Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:00–7:00 PM. Programs include ERP-based group therapy, individual therapy, exposure practice, and coordination with schools and providers.

Outpatient services include individual therapy, family therapy, SPACE-informed parent support, occupational therapy, academic coaching, executive functioning support, and care coordination.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

At OCD & Anxiety Colorado, neurodivergent-affirming care recognizes that OCD and anxiety often co-occur with conditions such as ADHD, Autism, sensory processing differences, and executive functioning challenges. Our approach integrates treatment for OCD and anxiety while respecting neurodivergent identities and adapting care to each client’s cognitive style and needs.

We address co-occurring needs through occupational therapy, academic coaching, and family support when appropriate. For adolescents, we provide parent guidance to help families distinguish between supporting neurodivergent needs and accommodating anxiety-driven avoidance. Our goal is to help clients build flexibility, confidence, and functional skills while honoring how their brain works.
