Our team places a strong emphasis on collaboration across the interdisciplinary healthcare and integrative wellness community to develop treatment plans, monitor client progress, and provide direct emotional and behavioral health care to clients. Our clinicians are trained in evidenced based practices and utilize Exposure-Response/Ritual-Prevention (gold standard of treatment for OCD). We believe in meeting both the mental and general health needs of our community. Our holistic perspective takes into account not just emotional, psychological, developmental, cultural, and social factors, but also the physical symptoms of disease and illness.
Treatment of Co-occurring Conditions:
We treat the most disruptive disorder first and then the secondary disorder next. If our staff is not able to treat a co-occurring disorder b/c of lack of training, we refer out and then work collaboratively with other providers.
Diversity Statement:
Anti-Racism Commitment:
We believe that all people deserve access to high-quality, evidence-based treatment for their mental health and wellbeing. However, we also understand that due to historical injustices and systematic inequality, this basic resource has been largely inaccessible to people of color.
At IHC, we are committed to addressing these injustices and advocating for those who have been affected by systemic racism. We will continually work to dismantle damaging beliefs and implicit biases both within the community and within our own practice.
Our clinicians have participated in cultural competency trainings and we hold a weekly multicultural team meeting.
