Polaris Family Behavioral Health, PLLC
- LGBTQIA+ Affirming
Polaris Family Behavioral Health, PLLC is dedicated to the evidence-based treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and related conditions across the lifespan. We serve children, adolescents, adults, and families, with a clinical model grounded in the understanding that effective OCD and anxiety treatment requires both high-quality individual care and active involvement of the family system. Polaris was founded to address gaps in access to specialized treatment and to provide care that is both clinically rigorous and deeply collaborative.
All clinicians at Polaris use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as their primary intervention, and bring in other treatment interventions as appropriate. In addition, Clinicians work as a coordinated team to ensure consistency of care and thoughtful clinical decision-making across providers and levels of care.
A defining feature of our approach is the deliberate and ongoing incorporation of families into treatment. We work diligently with parents, caregivers, and other support people to reduce accommodation behaviors that maintain OCD and anxiety, while strengthening skills that support long-term recovery. Polaris is committed to helping individuals and families build flexibility, resilience, and sustainable progress over time.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
We treat co-occurring disorders following appropriate evidence-based protocol to each condition, while including ERP for OCD.
Diversity Statement:
We include cultural competence in all training and supervision to ensure it is a central part of our work.
Part of our onboarding includes dedicated training on OCD and culture and how to understand the interaction of the two. We talk about this regularly.
Approximately ⅓ of our clients identify as non-white, which is a large percentage for our location. Additionally, we are the only practice in the state that is in person, specializes in OCD and ERP and takes insurance. We are committed to increasing access to treatment as best we can. We aren’t making statements about this to put on our website, but are doing this through our actions.
