SCP OCD and Anxiety Intensive Outpatient Program
The South County Psychiatry (SCP) OCD-A Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers advanced, evidence-based exposure interventions in a virtual setting. This program is designed for individuals who require a higher level of care than traditional outpatient services.
Unlike traditional long-term outpatient treatment, the OCD-A IOP is designed to facilitate a significant positive change in mental health within a relatively short time frame. Our IOP seamlessly integrates Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), interoceptive exposures, inhibitory learning principles, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to effectively address a diverse spectrum of anxiety and related disorders. We specialize in treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Health Anxiety (hypochondriasis), and severe fears or phobias (including emetophobia (fear of vomiting) and specific phobias (insects or animals).
Our dedicated treatment team comprises both psychiatrists and therapists with over 20 years of combined experience. The program combines individual therapy and medication management with group interventions to provide comprehensive support for significant life changes. Group therapy fosters an open, compassionate environment for sharing experiences and receiving peer support and feedback. We utilize various group therapies, including exposure therapy group (for developing tolerance to anxiety and distress), homework review group for problem-solving exposure exercises, and various skills groups (topics such as mindfulness, behavioral activation, and diffusion).
Our aim is to help you quickly, safely, and successfully regain your ability to function in your day to day life, work towards achieving your goals, and emotionally care for yourself.
