Description:

For over 30 years, we have been the source for the best anxiety care in the Chicago area and Springfield, IL. We love working with young children aged two through adults of any age. Our team teaches you, or your child, how to regain control of your life by giving you the tools to overcome fear and thrive. Our specialized focus on anxiety and related disorders means we can offer you the latest cutting-edge treatments. Whether the onset of your anxiety is recent or you have suffered a lifetime of symptoms, we are here to help you discover your confident, courageous self.

Our approach is practical, good humored and results oriented. Our staff works as a team to help you regain your ability to do the things anxiety prevents. We combine telehealth, in office visits, independence practice and exposure practice to give you maximum support. We offer Independence Therapy and ICBT, new treatments for anxious children and obsessive-compulsive disorder that do not rely upon exposure with response prevention. We include parents and support persons in treatment so you can become more effective at helping your child, young adult or partner thrive.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

We work intensively with the most complicated patients who have co-ocurring mood disorders, psychotic symptoms, developmental delays, serious medical conditions, functional neurological disorders, autism spectrum disorders and disabilities. We work as a team within our practice, with your other treatment providers and with your support system to help prioritize which symptoms to treat first, how to overcome loss of hope and how to build and maintain mental wellness in addition to overcoming symptoms of anxiety.

Diversity Statement:

Our team prides itself on our continual professional education about the science of inclusion, diversity and social justice for everyone. We acknowledge that we need to continually work to identify and understand our own implicit biases and strive to deeply understand the identities, culture and experience of each of our patients, their support systems and their communities.

Each year all of our staff are required to attend and complete continuing professional education in these areas.

We have special expertise working with devout faith communities in the Jewish, Muslim and Christian communities and staff who are international and speak Mandarin.
