Brian J. Schmaus PhD
Dr. Schmaus is a Clinical Psychologist at the Anxiety Treatment Center of Greater Chicago, where his job responsibilities have also included being a supervisor for graduate students as well as Post-Doctoral Fellows.
Dr. Schmaus enjoys being able to help improve the lives of patients and families suffering from OCD and Related Disorders.
The ATC is an outpatient clinic that specializes in the treatment of OCD and Related Disorders using empirically supported treatments. Treatment options at the ATC can range from weekly outpatient therapy to daily intensive treatment, depending on the specific clinical needs of the patient.
Dr. Brian Schmaus earned both his MS and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed his doctoral internship at Vancouver Coastal Health, where he worked in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Schmaus has trained with leading international experts in the fields of OCD and Related Disorders. He has been treating patients with OCD and OCD Spectrum Disorders for more than ten years. This includes extensive work with both child and adult patients with very complicated and difficult to treat OCD.
