Description:

The Collective Treatment Programs are comprised of two treatment programs, The Mental Health Collective and The Neurodivergent Collective. Founded in 2018, The Mental Health Collective is a residential treatment program for adults 18+ facing significant mental health challenges. The program is small by design (eighteen beds), staffed with doctoral and masters level clinicians providing truly individualized, sophisticated care. The Neurodivergent Collective, founded in 2022, provides a similar model and approach to care with specialization in the diagnosis and support of adults 18+ with autism and/or ADHD.

Both programs share / offer The OCD Clinic which is a program under the Collective umbrella that provides specialized assessment and treatment for obsessive–compulsive disorder and related conditions (body dysmorphic disorder, hoarding, health anxiety, etc…). A multidisciplinary team—psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and care coordinators, and coaches —use evidence-based therapies, primarily exposure and response prevention (ERP) and inference-based cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT), with medication management as appropriate. Additional therapeutic approaches include OCD adapted ACT, DBT, Shame Resilience and Narrative / OCD Story.

The Collective Programs emphasize a compassionate, collaborative approach: thorough assessment, goal-based treatment, family involvement when helpful, and practical skills to reduce distress. Treatments are individualized, guided by regular measurement of symptoms and functional goals in order to improve daily functioning. Levels of care include Residential, PHP, and structured outpatient.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

The Collective Treatment Programs offer a multidisciplinary team approach spanning psychiatry, mental health / therapy, nutrition, fitness, etc… Each patient is provided with a primary therapist who specializes in treating their primary diagnosis as well as adjunct therapists who work with them on their co-occurring disorders. This could be a dietician, and/or a therapist trained in working with addiction, and/or a therapist that specializes in a therapeutic modality such as EMDR or Somatic Experience, etc…
