The Houston Center for Valued Living

The Houston Center for Valued Living offers clients access to multiple levels of care. The IOP program involves one-on-one work with an experienced therapist utilizing evidence based practices. Clients undergo a phone screening and initial evaluation to assess appropriate fit. Treatment involves meeting the client in the best atmosphere possible which includes; home visits, meeting in public areas, and meeting virtually when needed. We offer clients flexible levels of care from traditional once a week outpatient appointments, multiple weekly outpatient appointments, and our intensive 3-5 days a week, 3 hours a day IOP care. At all levels, clinicians work with family members, loved ones and friends that may be involved to provide psycho-education about OCD, work to identify accommodations, and work with the family and client to remove those accommodations. Each of our clinicians believes passionately in helping clients return to living their best life.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

We work with co-occurring disorders such as: ADHD, other anxiety disorders, major depressive disorder, TIC disorders, BPD, substance use disorders, BFRBs and coordinate with other providers that may be working with a client to manage a co-occurring issue. Our treatment structure is to assess symptoms in all areas, begin psycho-education especially working on differentiating the disorders, discuss how the co-occurring disorders impact each other, discuss ways to monitor and manage each issue by developing targeted steps for the client to work on.
