Narrative of Services:
I prescribe medication in a safe and evidenced based manner with understanding of the impact of psychiatric medications in exposure therapy interventions. I prioritize finding appropriate therapy referrals and strongly encourage all my patients with OCD to be actively engaged in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Currently 25% of my practice is with individual with OCD or OC Related disorders.
Training Description:
I attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison where I received my B.A. double majoring in Psychology and Sociology. After graduating, I worked as a Community Resident Counselor at The Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Institute (OCD-I) at McLean Hospital from 2012-214. I went on to pursue a career in nursing with a focus on psychiatric interventions for mental health. I obtained a masters in the science nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and I am licensed in the state of Arizona to prescribe medications for the treatment of mental health disorders.
