Gretchen M. Bice, LPC-A, MS
Narrative of Services:
I provide outpatient, individual therapy for anxiety and OCD-related disorders via telehealth across Texas. A significant portion of my practice focuses on OCD, anxiety disorders, and tic-related conditions. I work with adolescents and adults using evidence-based approaches, primarily CBT with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Treatment is structured and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on reducing avoidance and compulsive behaviors while building flexibility. I tailor care to address co-occurring conditions and help clients make meaningful progress toward values-based living.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I use a structured, evidence-based approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), integrating Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Treatment focuses on helping clients gradually face feared thoughts and situations while reducing avoidance and compulsive behaviors. When co-occurring conditions are present, I tailor treatment to address overlapping patterns such as emotional dysregulation, sensory sensitivities, or attention challenges. The goal is to build flexibility, reduce symptom interference, and support movement toward meaningful, values-based living.
Training Description:
I have received specialized training in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders using CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). My clinical work includes experience at Central Texas Anxiety and OCD, where I have worked with individuals presenting with OCD and related conditions. My work is supported by ongoing supervision and consultation with experienced clinicians in OCD treatment. I continue to pursue additional training and consultation to strengthen my competency in evidence-based care.
Diversity Statement:
I work with a diverse population of adolescents and adults across Texas via telehealth, including clients from a range of cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I recognize that OCD and anxiety can be shaped by cultural values, family systems, and belief structures, and I incorporate these factors into assessment and treatment planning. I aim to provide care that is respectful, collaborative, and responsive to each client’s lived experience while maintaining fidelity to evidence-based approaches such as ERP.
My training has included coursework and clinical experience focused on cultural humility, identity development, and working with diverse populations. In practice, I approach cultural competency as an ongoing process, integrating clients’ cultural context into case conceptualization and treatment. I remain attentive to how cultural factors may influence symptom expression, help-seeking, and engagement in exposure-based treatment. I continue to seek consultation, training, and self-reflection to strengthen my ability to provide culturally responsive, evidence-based care.
