Buildings, Bridges, and Monuments Will Light Up Teal for OCD Awareness Week Across the Nation

Structures throughout the country will glow teal this OCD Awareness Week, from the Prudential Center in Boston, MA to the Mid-Hudson Bridge of New York. All will be lit up in the color teal to help raise awareness for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders and their impact on everyone affected.

With the lighting of these structures throughout the country, we look forward to literally shining a light on what it really means to live with OCD and related disorders at the kickoff of this special awareness week.

See a structure near you? Here are a few ways to help use these lighting opportunities to dispel public misconceptions:

  • Reach out to your local media to let them know a structure in your town is lighting up teal for OCD Awareness Week. The more teal buildings we get on the news, the more people who may be struggling we can reach!
  • Snap a photo of you in front of the lit structure and share it on your social media and tag @IOCDF. Share your experience with OCD to help dismantle public misconceptions.
  • Volunteer to photograph one of these landmarks for the IOCDF! Email us at tgroden@iocdf.org.
