Shannon Aldridge-Smith, LPC, MHSP
Narrative of Services:
I work within a group practice that focuses almost exclusively on OCD and anxiety related disorders. A quarter of my practice is OCD and Trichotillomania, another five percent is Autism Spectrum Disorders, and the remaining focus on various anxiety disorders including social phobia, perfectionism and school avoidance.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Mental Health Provider. I completed BTTI training in 2015 and the Trichotillomania certification in 2016. I spent 12 years working as a therapist for adolescents receiving IOP or Partial Hospitalization care for Trichotillomania, OCD, Anxiety Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders and various conduct and mood disorders. I have been in private practice for 6 years continuing my work with adolescents and their families, and have extended my work to include adults.
I make every effort to create a safe and welcoming space for people of any ethnicity, gender, and orientation. I received training on cultural competency during my master’s degree and have continued the effort through continuing education.
