Meredith Beard MSW, LCSW, RPT
Meredith provides outpatient individual and family therapy via telehealth to those with Obsessive-Compulsive and Anxiety based disorders. When treating OCD, she regularly draws upon her training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Mindfulness for OCD, Inference-based CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).
Meredith Beard has over a decade of clinical experience working with adolescents, adults and families with a variety of anxiety disorders. She is an has participated in numerous trainings through NOCD.com, The Center for Mindfulness & CBT, regular consultation groups and local workshops with Saint Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI). OCD is Meredith’s specialty and passion and keeps up on the latest research and treatment modalities.
Meredith treats clients with OCD who are 15+ and regularly incorporates work with parents, partners, spouses and family members who may want to learn how they can best support their loved one in their treatment goals.
Meredith is committed to providing the best care to her diverse clientele. She regularly receives the latest trainings on how privilege, bias, and stigma impact the client’s lives and wellbeing. She speaks openly about these subjects with clients and tries to create a therapeutic environment that feels safe and affirming of all types of differences. Meredith considers herself a lived experience clinician with neurodivergence and occasionally incorporates self-disclosure judiciously.
