Christopher Booth Psy.D.
My private practice focuses (>50%)on providing evidence-based therapy to individuals across the lifespan treating obsessive-compulsive disorder, related disorders (hair-pulling, skin picking, body dysmorphic disorder and hoarding disorder), and general anxiety. In therapy I utilize evidence-based treatment approaches, which is very important in the tx of OCD, which is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure-and-response prevention (ERP). ). I also frequently utilize aspects of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT).
I have worked for the past 3 years at the University of California, San Diego, focusing on providing evidence-based therapy to individuals with OCD. Prior to that I work at several medical facilities, dedicated to helping people with both medical and mental health issues. I have completed various trainings and attended conferences focusing on CBT/ERP for anxiety disorders and specifically for OCD.
