Narrative of Services:

I have designed and led Group Programs for individuals with OCD and Spectrum/Co-Occurring Disorders including Skin Picking, Morbid Thoughts, Eating Disorders, Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. My Groups have been primarily Psychoeducational, but involve Treatment Strategies and OCD Management also. Regarding Adult Individual Treatment, I see those who have not yet been diagnosed with OCD and those who have been diagnosed. One important difference between my Private Practice OCD Treatment and some other OCD Programs in major hospitals and clinics is that I will create a program with my client that proceeds more gradually versus model of anxiety flooding.

My specialty for several years has been Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but I also have expertise in treatment of Co-occurring Disorders including Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Chronic Medical or Psychiatric Illness. I also treat Anxiety Disorders including Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder with or without Agoraphobia.

Training Description:

I am an LICSW specializing in assessment and treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Co-Occurring Disorders including Major Depression and other forms of Anxiety Disorder. My first training was in Clinical Social Work and Psychotherapy at the Masters Level. Following this, I trained intensively with a colleague at McLean Hospital who specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, specifically Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (the Gold Standard for OCD Treatment.)
I treat Individuals, Couples and Families regarding OCD Management. I will also be forming new OCD Individual and Family Groups (separately) which I led at two teaching hospitals in the past.

Diversity Statement:

My experience has been working for over 20 years in a major teaching hospital in the Boston Area as a Psychiatric Consultant for the Emergency Room. This as my work in other varied prior settings afforded me the opportunity to work with patients of all ethnic/cultural groups and income levels. I have also worked with patients/clients of all ages from children & adolescents through geriatric. Although my current practice is with adult clients, I would also consider seeing an older adolescent who is perhaps attending college in the area.
