Narrative of Services:
My practice is dedicated to anxiety disorders with emphasis on OCD and OCD Related disorders. As such, approximately 85-90% of the clients that I am currently treating have this diagnosis. I have treated a significant amount of individuals and families who have been afflicted with the aforementioned challenges. This includes in an office setting, out in the community, and in the homes of the client. I also provide clinical supervision to other therapists, on how to effectively treat clients who are experiencing OCD symptoms. This includes newly licensed clinicians, as well as more seasoned psychotherapists.
I treat individuals who are on the Autism Spectrum ( ASD) and/or have Substance Use Disorders (SUD,) when co-morbid with an anxiety disorder, specifically OCD. My treatment structure incorporates both CBT and ERP Therapy, while working on sobriety. I believe that many people “self-medicate,” as a means of dealing with their anxiety, which reinforces a challenging cycle.
I have worked extensively with many clients across all demographics.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels (ADA accessible): Yes
Training Description:
I was trained via IOCDF’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) at Roger’s Memorial Behavioral Health in Wisconsin, in June of 2010. While there, I was supervised by a world renowned anxiety expert, who provided additional supervision, post-training. As such, I have been treating OCD and OCD Spectrum Disorders for approximately 10 years. I use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention,) with most of my clients. I have read many books and literature associated with anxiety disorders. I continue to be proactive in regards to continuing education and am up-to-date on the latest research and treatments.
I have been trained in treating a diverse population, including individuals from a variety of cultures, religions, ethnicities, creed, sexual orientations, and genders. I also presented at a statewide conference on multicultural competencies and created a self-study guide on multicultural awareness for a large, non-profit organization in New Jersey.
