Liviu Bunaciu PhD
I work at the Anxiety & OCD Treatment Services (AOTS) where I provide state-of-the-art evidence-based telemental health treatments for adults (living in Washington, Oregon, and Iowa) suffering from OCD, anxiety disorders, and related conditions (e.g., BFRBs, BDD, illness anxiety disorder, depression, insomnia, tics). The treatments I offer include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Prolonged Exposure (PE), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), Behavioral Activation (BA), and Habit-Reversal Training (HRT). I’m flexible about the duration (45-120 min) and frequency of appointments and I conduct “exposure field trips” outside of the office (e.g., in the home or community, driving) as necessary.
I completed my undergraduate training at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arkansas and completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. I pursued additional specialized experience by completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Houston OCD Program, and worked at specialty anxiety centers in Seattle, WA and Eugene, OR for 6 years before joining the AOTS. Throughout my career, I focused on providing treatment for OCD and related conditions in a variety of settings including specialty anxiety clinics, a residential treatment center, and a VA medical center.
