Narrative of Services:
I treat OCD and anxiety, and related disorders including trichotillomania/dermotillomania, panic disorder, agoraphobia, anxiety sensitivity, illness anxiety dx, etc. This is approximately 70% of my caseload. The other clients I see are clients with trauma, bipolar dx, BPD, and depression.
Training Description:
I have 2 years of experience treating OCD and related disorders using ERP and ACT. I have some knowledge of I-CBT. My training includes IOCDF virtual conferences, I am starting NOCD Academy CE courses, and a few I-CBT trainings. I regularly study literature and watch relevant videos on ERP by leaders in the field, including Dr. Patrick McGrath. I bring personal lived experience with OCD and have deepened my understanding through my own ERP and ACT therapy. Beginning in September, I will receive consultation from Jeff Szymanski, PhD (IOCDF).
Diversity Statement:
While I would not say I specialize in multicultural populations, I have worked with clients from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds in private practice and my social work experience. I strive to provide culturally responsive care and continue to expand my knowledge through supervision, client feedback, and ongoing education. I am committed to creating an inclusive and affirming space for all individuals.
My MSW program emphasized cultural competency, social justice, and working with diverse populations. I received foundational training in providing affirming care across racial, cultural, gender, and socioeconomic identities. In practice, I’ve worked with clients from various backgrounds and continue to grow through ongoing education, supervision, and client-centered feedback.
