Narrative of Services:
Dr. Chazin has worked with over 100 adults and adolescents with OCD and/or obsessive-compulsive related disorders (including body dysmorphic disorder, health anxiety or hypochondriasis, and compulsive hair pulling and skin picking). He has also supervised and trained other psychologists and psychiatrists in the provision of effective treatment for these disorders.
Besides OCD and related disorders, Dr. Chazin is also able to provide specialized treatment for a full range of anxiety disorders (e.g., generalized and social anxiety, panic, phobias); trauma and PTSD; and depression and mood problems. He draws upon state-of-the-art treatments to help OCD sufferers address these co-occurring problems, which vary based on the particular person and problem area, but often include forms of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), and mindfulness and acceptance-based interventions,

With exceptionally strong training and years of experience helping adults and teens with a range of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, Dr. Chazin combines expertise in the most effective, state-of-the-art cognitive-behavioral treatments (including CBT and ERP) with a personalized and supportive approach. He aims to help clients develop understanding, skills, and strategies to master anxiety and obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders. Relevant past experiences have included training under leading experts in the field at institutions such as the Institute for Behavior Therapy; the Boston Consortium in Clinical Psychology; and the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety.
