Aqib Chowdhury PhD

I specialize in exposure-based interventions for OCD as well as other anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and social anxiety. I also treat body-focused repetitive behaviors and related disorders using habit reversal training (HRT) and comprehensive behavioral intervention for tics (CBIT).

I received specialty training in the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD throughout my doctoral training at Binghamton University. I completed my doctoral internship at the Syracuse Veterans Affairs Medical Center where I received additional training in treating PTSD. As a licensed psychologist, I continue to attend trainings and presentations focused on anxiety, OCD, and related disorders.

Multicultural competence was an emphasis in my doctoral training and I have completed coursework and attended multiple trainings pertaining working with diverse populations. I have also led a psychoeducation group for men of color at Cornell University.
