Sarah Coe-Odess PhD
In both my private practice and my work at Massachusetts General Hospital, I specialize in treating children, adolescents, and adults with OCD, anxiety (phobias, panic, social anxiety, generalized anxiety), and related conditions such as body dysmorphic disorder, trichotillomania, tics, and excoriation disorder. I provide CBT, ACT, DBT, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) both in person in Cambridge, MA, and virtually throughout Massachusetts and Texas. I also collaborate closely with parents, offering parent coaching to help reduce family accommodations and support their child or adolescent in managing OCD and anxiety.
I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy and exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD and anxiety-related disorders, including BDD, BFRBs, and specific phobias, with children, adolescents, and adults. I also have experience treating co-occurring depression, eating disorders, and trauma. Treatment is individualized, often addressing multiple concerns concurrently (e.g., ERP for OCD alongside exposures for phobias), while in some cases prioritizing one condition first (e.g., PTSD before OCD). I also integrate acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) strategies to support emotional regulation and lasting change.
I received my PhD from the University of Virginia and completed my clinical internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance. I then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for OCD and Related Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where I currently see therapy patients and conduct research on OCD spectrum disorders.
