Narrative of Services:
Ninety-five percent of my practice is for OCD and related disorders, and I have treated hundreds of children, adolescents, and adults with OCD over the past 25 years. I provide outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care, via teletherapy and in person.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I use Exposure and Response Prevention, ACT, SPACE for parents and caregivers, as well as other evidence-based treatments for related conditions. All treatment is compassionate, client centered, and carefully tailored to each client’s needs.
Training Description:
I have specialized in the treatment of OCD since my clinical psychology internship and postdoctoral fellowship in the Pediatric Anxiety Research Clinic at Warren Alpert Medical School/Brown University, where I was mentored by Henrietta Leonard, MD, Jennifer Freeman, PhD, and Abbe Garcia, PhD in 2003-2005. I am on the BTTI Faculty and am an active member of the IOCDF Clinical and Scientific Advisory Board.
Diversity Statement:
I have worked with individuals and families with OCD and have trained other practitioners in OCD treatment from many different racial ethnic groups, genders, sexual identities, neurotypes, and cultures, and approach my work with deep cultural humility.
In addition to my past participation in programs such as the APA Minority Fellowship Program and my experience in working with diverse groups in both rural and urban settings, I engage in regular consultation with peers and colleagues to ensure that I continue to grow in my cultural sensitivity and responsiveness.
