Narrative of Services:

I provide weekly individual CBT therapy for adolescents and adults with OCD, body-focused repetitive behavior disorders (trichotillomania, excoriation), and perfectionism.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I have expertise in providing CBT for depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, and phobias. I also have significant experience in treating trauma and insomnia using more specialized CBT (CBT-Insomnia, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy).

Training Description:

I have been treating OCD for the past 9 years and have received training and supervision in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) at the University of Rochester, NYU-Bellevue, at a specialized CBT/DBT-based group practice, and through my work as an attending psychologist at Montefiore Medical Center. I completed training in BFRBs through the TLC Foundation for BFRBs and have treated many individuals with skin picking and trichotillomania. I also have extensive training and practice in DBT and will often incorporate DBT skills, mindfulness practice, and acceptance-based strategies into my work.

Diversity Statement:

I am committed to providing compassionate and affirming care to all clients. I worked primarily with multicultural populations throughout my training in Rochester, NY and during the 4+ years that I worked as a psychologist in the Bronx, NY. I continue to work to develop cultural competency and humility in my work.
