Katrina Daigle PhD
In my work I emphasize flexible, individualized, evidence-based approaches for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. Thus, I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) into my work. My priority in my work is to help individuals move towards what is important to them and live personally meaningful lives.
I dedicate 100% of my practice to treating children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders as well as conducting psychodiagnostic assessments. I also provide consultation and supervision to clinicians new to treating OCD.
Co-occurring disorders are often present for folks with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. Therefore, I pay close attention to differential diagnosis and understanding various conditions in my assessment process, and always carefully consider and account for co-occurring disorders and their interactions in my treatment approach.
I have trained under BTTI faculty for 6 years, including my postdoctoral training at the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety, training under and learning from clinicians in the IOCDF scientific and clinical advisory board. As a licensed psychologist, I continue to attend trainings, conferences, and consultation groups focused on anxiety, OCD, and related disorders.
Training in diversity, equity, and inclusion has been emphasized throughout my graduate training at Suffolk University, my APA accredited predoctoral internship training at Denver Health Hospital, and my post-doctoral training and current position at the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety.
I continuously aim to improve my understanding of diverse lived experiences in my work with clients as well as seeking out and participating in ongoing seminars on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Additionally, I train and supervise doctoral students and emphasize cultural competency and humility in training for future clinicians.
