OCD and related disorders comprise 100% of my clinical caseload. Over my career I have treated more than 750 individuals with OCD and related conditions, including relationship OCD, harm OCD, religious OCD (scrupulosity), postpartum OCD, and emetophobia. I offer weekly individual ERP therapy sessions for women and teens, as well as a VIP Intensive Program — a condensed 3-week, 9-session telehealth program designed for clients needing accelerated treatment. Services are delivered virtually across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, with in-person sessions available in Taylorsville, NC.
Co-occurring mood disorders, anxiety, and eating disorders are addressed within an integrated treatment framework alongside OCD. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as the primary intervention, with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) woven in to target depressive cognitions, panic, and disordered eating patterns. Treatment is sequenced based on clinical presentation. When OCD symptoms are most impairing, I prioritize ERP first, then address co-occurring concerns as functioning improves. For eating disorders and panic, behavioral interventions are tailored to reduce avoidance while building distress tolerance. Sessions are delivered via telehealth across NC, SC, and VA.
I have 15 years of clinical experience with 5 years of specialized OCD treatment. My OCD-specific training includes ERP coursework through PESI, clinical workshops with NOCD, and certification as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) through Evergreen Certifications. I have treated more than 750 individuals with OCD and related disorders using Exposure and Response Prevention as the primary modality. I am also the host of Bossing Up: Overcoming OCD, a podcast dedicated to OCD education and recovery, reflecting my ongoing commitment to staying current in evidence-based OCD treatment.
I identify as a white female. As a military spouse who has lived across the United States and internationally, I bring firsthand understanding of the unique stressors faced by military families, including frequent relocation, deployment, and navigating mental health care across different regions and cultures. This lived experience informs my work with military spouses and families navigating OCD in high-stress environments. I have experience working with clients across Christian and faith-based backgrounds and incorporate culturally sensitive, values-aligned care into my practice. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, and belief systems.
My cultural competency training includes coursework at Lenoir-Rhyne University and ongoing continuing education focused on working with diverse populations. As a military spouse who has relocated internationally and across the United States, I bring firsthand understanding of cross-cultural adjustment, displacement, and barriers to mental health care. I have extensive experience treating military families navigating OCD under the pressures of service life. I also hold training in Christian counseling and regularly work with clients for whom faith is central to their OCD presentation, including scrupulosity. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, ethnicities, faith traditions, and identities.
