Sherjuana Davis PhD, LCSW, LISW-CP
My practice serves both families and individuals. For my practice, OCD is one of my top three specialties and the other two are anxiety and trauma. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to treat OCD.
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with a PhD in Psychology and Master of Social Work degree. In addition, I received additional continuing education professional training to work with individuals and families in the areas of OCD, anxiety and trauma. This training includes Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). I have experience working in psychiatric hospitals, community mental health and private practice. Currently, I am in a solo private practice at the Georgia Mind Center LLC.
As a woman of color, I have experienced the societal stressors associated with being in minority groups. This resulted in me creating an inclusive and respectful environment for my clients. Both my doctoral and master level training included cultural competency work in the educational curriculum. Throughout my career, I have a history of practicing with cultural humility which allows me to work with people across a multitude of backgrounds.
