Narrative of Services:
My practice focuses on providing evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders, OCD, and additional mental health concerns. For OCD, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and when appropriate, Inference-Based CBT (CBT). These approaches help individuals face intrusive thoughts, reduce compulsions, and reclaim their time and energy. I also work with perfectionism, burnout, depression, and other challenges that often occur alongside OCD.
Training Description:
I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, where I provided evidence-based treatments via telehealth for insomnia, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders. I have received formal training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) through the Cognitive Behavior Institute and NOCD, and I have completed additional training in Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) for OCD.
Diversity Statement:
I have practiced in a wide variety of settings, including inpatient forensic hospitals, VA medical centers, correctional facilities, community mental health centers, and private practice. These experiences have allowed me to work with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I am an LGBTQ+ ally and am committed to providing an affirming, inclusive therapeutic environment where clients feel respected and understood.
I also specialize in working with multiracial individuals, offering support around identity development, belonging, and navigating multiracial identity stress.
