Narrative of Services:
My practice is primarily focused on treating OCD and related anxiety disorders, which have made up approximately 75–80% of my caseload over the past five years. Across my career, I have treated hundreds of individuals with OCD. The majority of my current OCD caseload presents with violent or sexually themed intrusive thoughts. I provide evidence‑based care with an emphasis on ERP, supported by CBT, ACT, DBT‑informed strategies, and Metacognitive Therapy (MCT). Services include diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, and structured treatment planning for co‑occurring conditions. My approach is collaborative, skills‑based, and tailored to each client’s goals.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
When treating OCD with co‑occurring disorders, I use a structured, evidence‑based approach that prioritizes ERP while integrating targeted interventions for the additional condition. Treatment begins with a thorough assessment to clarify symptom interaction and establish a clear hierarchy of needs. ERP remains the core modality, supported by CBT, ACT, DBT‑informed strategies, and Metacognitive Therapy (MCT) as clinically appropriate. I work collaboratively with clients to build skills that address both OCD and co‑occurring symptoms, monitor progress, and adjust the plan to ensure treatment remains focused, effective, and aligned with their goals.
Training Description:
I have over thirty years of clinical experience and have treated hundreds of individuals with OCD and related disorders across outpatient psychotherapy, community mental health, and specialized telehealth settings. My training includes graduate‑level coursework in evidence‑based treatment, extensive continuing education in ERP, CBT, ACT, DBT‑informed strategies, and Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), as well as supervision and consultation with senior clinicians affiliated with nationally recognized OCD programs. I maintain ongoing professional development through workshops, advanced trainings, and specialized coursework to ensure my practice remains aligned with current best practices in OCD treatment.
Diversity Statement:
Across my career in community mental health, HIV services, crisis response, and outpatient psychotherapy, I have worked with clients representing a wide range of racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds. My current private‑practice caseload is small (fewer than 25 clients) but reflects similar diversity, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and those seeking gender‑affirming care. I routinely support clients across the lifespan with varied cultural identities and lived experiences, and I strive to ensure treatment remains accessible, respectful, and responsive to each person’s context.
I have over thirty years of experience providing care to diverse populations across community mental health, HIV services, crisis response, and outpatient psychotherapy.
