I treat co-occurring presentations including OCD, PTSD and complex/developmental trauma, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), ADHD/ADD, autism spectrum conditions, and personality disorders, particularly Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) traits and attachment-related difficulties. Treatment is individualized and may integrate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing (SE), DBT skills, and trauma-informed approaches. Care focuses on reducing symptom interference, increasing psychological flexibility, strengthening emotional regulation, addressing relational patterns, and supporting meaningful engagement in daily life and valued activities.
Trauma, Anxiety
I am a licensed therapist with specialized training in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders. My training includes the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in the Treatment of OCD, and the OCD & Anxiety Lecture Series on ERP Modifications for Autistic Clients. I regularly integrate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), ACT, DBT-informed skills, and somatic approaches into treatment. I work with a range of OCD presentations, including contamination, harm, scrupulosity, taboo themes, Identity, sexual, relationship OCD (ROCD), real-event OCD, existential OCD, perfectionism, and “just right” OCD.
My practice serves a diverse client population, including individuals from the African diaspora, Asian, Latinx/Hispanic, and multicultural communities. I have completed training in multicultural competency and integrate culturally responsive, anti-oppressive, and identity-affirming approaches into treatment. I recognize the impact of systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, acculturation stress, racism, discrimination, and cultural values on mental health and tailor treatment accordingly. I also work extensively with LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and intersectional identities, emphasizing collaboration, cultural humility, and respect for each client’s lived experience.
I have completed specialized training in multicultural and identity-affirming care, including BIPOC-focused BTTI (Behavioral Therapy Training Institute) training, BIPOC Brainspotting Phase 1, DBT-informed training for LGBTQ+ populations, *Why Traditional Eating Disorder Treatment Fails LGBTQ+ Populations and How Queer Worldmaking Offers a Better Path Forward*, and *Eldest Daughters, Culture, and Mental Health in Middle Eastern Families*. My clinical work integrates cultural humility, anti-oppressive frameworks, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based treatment while recognizing the impact of race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexuality, neurodiversity, and systemic barriers on mental health and wellbeing.
