Lauren Feldman LMFT
Currently, 35% of my clients are struggling with anxiety disorders. I have “lived experience” with OCD. Since benefitting from ERP, I have pivoted toward supporting those affected by OCD.
I am currently an LMFT working in a private practice setting. I have been seeing clients since 2015 and licensed since 2020. I have been primarily working with adults and couples to manage anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationships. I have been trained in evidence-based Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I utilize mindfulness, CBT, ACT, narrative, and psychodynamic modalities. I am currently participating in regular consultations with an active member of the IOCDF.
Providing services in the Los Angeles area has allowed me the privilege of working with clients of various backgrounds. Approximately 40% of my caseload identify as people of color. As a member of the LBGTQIA+ and Jewish communities, I strive to provide a safe and inviting space for all individuals I encounter.
My undergraduate education focused on learning about psychology within the LGBTQ community. My graduate specialization was in LGBT-Affirmative Psychology. I have worked with suicide prevention for LGBTQIA+ youth and supporting clients living with HIV/AIDS. I also spent many years working with Black and Latinx adolescents on probation and their families. I continue to work with clients in the LA area who are members of various cultural, ethnic, and religious groups.
