The majority of my clients have OCD. I mainly treat children and adolescents. Right now I have 23 clients that I see regularly (Mostly weekly with a few bi-weekly) who have OCD.
Many of my clients are nuerodiverse, with ASD or ADHD in addition to OCD. I am a client centered clinician. I focus on what the client wants to work on during sessions. If they would like to focus on struggles related to Autism or ADHD, I can provide psychoeducation, support, and strategies. I am always cognisant to not use ERP when it comes to sensory differences related to neurodiversity and I constantly check in with my client throughout the ERP process.
I’ve completed all of the required trainings from Knowledge tree to obtain my CERP. I am just completing the last individual supervision requirement. I have attended 5 group consultations. I’ve been treating patients for 4 and a half years, with a focus on OCD.
I am a queer therapist and part of a group practice that focuses on the LGBTQIA+ population. I write letters for gender affirming care. I have clients who have a variety of different racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
During my MSW program I took numerous classes in social justice and cultural competence. As part of this group practice I have taken numerous trainings on transgender issues and gender affirming care. I am also part of a group consultation for working with transgender folx.
