Narrative of Services:
Training Description:
Since 1995, for the past 25 years, I have been cultivating skills, training & expertise through supervision/practicum, consultation, trainings/continuing education course, along with my own reading & research. My career has been devoted to the study & practice of CBT & Exposure-Based Treatment, including ACT, DBT, Mindfulness, ComB Model, to name a few. My practice is exclusively devoted to treating Anxiety & OCD, in person, online & in vivo, using ERP & I am often the practice that others refer to for complex cases.
My education & initial training began at FIU as a Research Assistant examining culture & race & its impact on accessing services within the diverse ethnic community of Miami. This taught me first hand that the Social Work premise-“Start where the client is”, applies to the entire aspect of their being-culturally, spiritually, & emotionally. Through the vast number of trainings I have attended, reminds me that even therapists need to remember to “check their assumptions” & open their eyes & minds in order to be effective as clinicians.
