Daniel J Glass PhD
The Sasco River Center is a multidisciplinary practice offering a range of diagnostic and therapy services for children, adolescents, young adults, and families, specializing in collaborative & comprehensive testing, psychotherapy, and sensory processing. While several other clinicians here have treated OCD, I am the only practitioner with a specialist focus and background in OCD treatment using ERP. At McLean OCDI, I worked with over 80 OCD patients, and have treated over 15 clients with OCD or OCD-like symptoms in the years since, including at my current position.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I specialize in treatment of multiple anxiety/mood diagnoses, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, and depression. I use a unified mindfulness-, values-, and exposure-based approach that targets symptoms from across diagnoses as well as the underlying mechanisms behind them, to treat the OCD and other symptoms simultaneously.
I have been treating OCD and related disorders since 2014, as a doctoral student at Suffolk University. My first internship in graduate school was at the McLean OCD Institute, where I was an exposure coach. Next, I externed at Boston University’s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders, where I became proficient with the Unified Protocol for emotional disorders. Through these two year-long externships, I gained extensive background in ERP. In my postdoctoral and current professional position, I work with children, adolescents, and adults who have a range of anxiety and behavioral disorders, including OCD and other anxiety disorders.
Diversity Statement:
I have worked with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including African-American, Latino, and Asian cultures, and with diverse gender identities and sexual orientations.
