Arryn M Hawthorne LCSW
Clinical Director, Hawthorne Tree Psychotherapy, LLC
50-60% of my practice is focused on work with people who live with anxiety, OCD and/or OC related disorders. Many of these folks are also members of the LGBTQ community. I am particularly focused on working with LGBTQ folks who also have anxiety, OCD and/or OC related disorders.
For over 20 years, I have had the privilege of working with a number of people living with OCD. My experience includes inpatient and outpatient mental health settings in addition to primary care and private practice. In addition to having completed IOCDF BTTI, I regularly attend trainings and seek consultation from senior therapists in the field of OCD. I understand that part of treatment is getting ready to do the challenging, but effective and rewarding, work of ERP.
Diversity Statement:
In addition to my commitment to continuing my work as an antiracist person and therapist, I also dedicate myself to the core values of the social work profession. These values are: service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, the importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence. The importance of valuing the humanity of all people is integral to my practice.
I have over 20 years of direct work experience with people who are oppressed in some way or ways by society. I am also committed to attending training and seeking out learning opportunities. For ten years, I worked in an outpatient therapy and primary care agency whose mission is to serve LGBTQ people and work toward equity for all people.
