Magdalene Holtam PhD
The majority of patients that I treat struggle with OCD and/or another anxiety disorder. I have worked successfully with many patients struggling with OCD and other anxiety disorders including panic disorder, phobias, and generalized anxiety. I am passionate about working with people who struggle with anxiety and OCD because I understand the negative impact these conditions can have on a person’s life. Both intensive therapy and standard 50 minute therapy sessions are offered in my practice. Treatment is individualized to each individual.
I am a licensed psychologist with a passion for helping people who are suffering from OCD, anxiety disorders, chronic worry, and panic disorder. I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston. I have over 17 years of experience providing therapy, and over 5 years of experience treating those with OCD.
– Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) training through IOCDF (ERP training)
– Inference Based CBT (I-CBT)
– Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)
– CBT for Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)
– Level 5 certified in TEAM-CBT
I have experience and enjoy working with individuals from many diverse populations. My practice offers culturally sensitive services to all individuals including people of color, immigrants, women and LGBTQ+ individuals. My goal as a therapist is to get to know the unique background and identities of each of my clients.
I have extensive training in providing culturally sensitive therapy, and attend diversity trainings on a regular basis. Additionally, I am Co-Director of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee at the Feeling Good Institute and was previously on the IOCDF Diversity Advisory Council.
