Miriam Holtzman PsyD
The majority of my patients are diagnosed with OCD and/or an OCD-spectrum disorder.
Aside from OCD and OCPD, I also work with individuals experiencing a wide range of anxiety disorders (e.g. phobias, panic, social anxiety, health anxiety and generalized anxiety). I am also experienced in treating bodily focused repetitive behaviors (e.g. hair-pulling, skin-picking and nail-biting), hoarding, ADHD and sleep difficulties (e.g. insomnia and nightmares).
I received specialized training in OCD and OCD-spectrum disorders throughout my time as a Psy.D. student at St. John’s University. I honed my ERP skills during my pre-doctoral clinical training at specialized sites including Bio Behavioral Institute in Great Neck, NY, directed by Dr. Fugen Neziroglu. I completed a post-doctoral fellowship specializing in all subtypes of OCD at the Northwell Health OCD Center in Glen Oaks, NY, directed by Dr. Anthony Pinto. In the Fall of 2020, I joined Northwell Health’s Physician Partners CBT Practice where I treat individuals with OCD and anxiety disorders as part of an interdisciplinary team.
