I am a clinical child psychologist specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD and related anxiety disorders. I also have specialized training in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), a parent-based treatment approach. I aim to increase access to effective, evidence-based care by providing psychotherapy via telehealth to children, adolescents, and parents.
I treat a variety of anxiety disorders including separation anxiety, selective mutism, phobias, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I treat tics and Tourettes using Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT).
I earned my doctorate in Clinical Child Psychology in 2010 from the University of Kansas, with a focus on evidence-based treatments for children and adolescents. I received extensive training in CBT and ERP for OCD and anxiety disorders during my postdoctoral fellowship at Saint Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute’s Center for OCD and Anxiety-Related Disorders. During that time, I was supervised by a member of the IOCDF Scientific and Clinical Advisory Board and faculty of the IOCDF Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI). Since then, I have specialized in treating OCD and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents.
I work to create a welcoming and inclusive therapeutic environment for children, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds. I approach each family with curiosity and cultural humility, recognizing the importance of identity, values, and context in treatment. I aim to provide care that is respectful, affirming, and responsive to each family’s unique needs and experiences.
