Amy Huberman, MD
Narrative of Services:
I am co-director of the Anxiety Consultation Clinic at Johns Hopkins, where I teach third-year psychiatry residents how to do CBT for anxiety disorders, including ERP for OCD. In the clinic, we do single-visit consultations for people with anxiety disorders, including OCD. I also have a private practice with a focus on treating anxiety disorders, where at least 30% of my patients have OCD. While my treatment of OCD relies primarily on ERP, it is also very much informed by ACT, with a focus on acceptance in the service of values.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: No
I have been treating OCD patients for 10 years, using ERP with or without medication. I attended the 2017 St. Petersburg Behavior Therapy Training Institute, and from 2011-2012 participated in a consultation group focusing on treatment of OCD led by a co-director of the Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland. I am currently a member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America’s OCD SIG.
