Jillian Hudson LMHC

Counselor
Narrative of Services:

OCD and related disorders are a growing focus in my practice, with a significant portion of my caseload presenting with either primary OCD or notable OCD-related traits. I incorporate ERP as a foundational approach while blending it with CBT, DBT-informed skills, and trauma work to meet clients where they are and build tolerance for exposures. I work with adults and teens (15+), including neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients, using a direct, affirming, and collaborative style. Services are provided via telehealth, with in-person sessions available upon request.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I treat co-occurring disorders including ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and disordered eating. I tailor treatment to explore how these interact with OCD and affect functioning. My approach combines ERP with DBT-informed strategies, CBT, behavioral activation, and psychoeducation. I collaborate with other providers when needed to support medication management or higher levels of care.

Training Description:

I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with training in OCD treatment, from the IOCDF’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) in 2025. I also have training in substance abuse (working toward MCAP), domestic violence, victim advocacy, crisis intervention, and complex trauma. My approach integrates ERP with CBT, DBT-informed strategies, and trauma-focused care to support clients with co-occurring needs. My training includes workshops, clinical consultation, and ongoing supervision with OCD specialists. I currently provide therapy to teens (15+) and adults in a virtual outpatient setting.

Diversity Statement:

I provide affirming, identity-informed care for individuals across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, neurodivergent communities, and those impacted by trauma, systemic oppression, or marginalization. I have training in working with survivors of domestic violence, crisis response, and complex trauma. My practice is grounded in cultural humility and a commitment to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can show up fully as themselves. I work with teens and adults from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, and I actively pursue continuing education focused on inclusive, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive practices.

I have formal training in cultural competency, domestic violence advocacy, and trauma-informed care, with additional experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, and survivors of systemic and interpersonal trauma. My clinical work is grounded in cultural humility and identity-affirming care, with attention to how oppression, marginalization, and cultural context impact mental health and OCD. I continue to engage in ongoing education around anti-oppressive practice, intersectionality, and inclusive treatment approaches to better support clients from diverse racial, ethnic, gender, and cultural backgrounds.
