Sheryl R. Jacobs PhD

I am a solo practitioner working in a suite of psychologists, with approximately 75% of my practice focused on children and teens. Approximately 50% of my patients are experiencing anxiety, with a significant number of patients presenting with OCD or related disorders.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in child, adolescent, and adult therapy and psychodiagnostic evaluations. My interests include working with individuals experincing the range of anxiety and mood disorders, as well as developmental concerns such as ADHD and learning disabilities. I utilize primarily cognitive behavioral techniques to treat these issues, and involve family members as appropriate, especially when working with children. I have attended multiple workshops and seminars on treating anxiety disorders, particularly with children and teens and have advanced supervision at the Anxiety and Stress Disorder Institute in Baltimore.
