Narrative of Services:
OCD and related disorders comprise over 95% of my current practice, with all clients presenting co-occurring anxiety. I have specialized in OCD treatment for four years, completing intensive ERP training through the Cognitive Behavior Institute in Pennsylvania. During this time, I have treated approximately 75+ individuals with OCD and related presentations, utilizing ERP, Inference-Based CBT, and ACT approaches. My practice focuses on complex cases including contamination fears, moral/scrupulosity obsessions, harm obsessions, relationship OCD, and co-occurring disorders. I work exclusively via telehealth, serving clients throughout Ohio, which allows specialized access for individuals in underserved areas lacking local OCD expertise.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I utilize evidence-based approaches including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-Based CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and compassion-focused interventions tailored to each client’s presentation. When treating co-occurring conditions, I prioritize functional assessment to determine how symptoms interact and which patterns most impair daily functioning. Treatment typically involves addressing avoidance behaviors across conditions while building psychological flexibility and distress tolerance. For clients with substance use histories, I integrate relapse prevention strategies with anxiety/OCD treatment. My approach emphasizes behavioral activation and direct skill-building rather than prolonged exploration, adapting evidence-based protocols to accommodate complex presentations.
Training Description:
I completed intensive Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) training through the Cognitive Behavior Institute in Pennsylvania, followed by specialized training in Inference-Based CBT for OCD. I participated in group consultation provided by CBI during my training period to develop treatment competency with complex cases. My continuing education includes multiple workshops focused on anxiety and OCD treatment, including brain-based approaches to anxiety disorders and OCD-specific interventions. Over four years specializing in OCD treatment, I have applied evidence-based protocols across diverse OCD presentations including contamination, harm, scrupulosity, relationship OCD, and complex cases, adapting interventions to accommodate co-occurring conditions and nuanced symptom patterns.
