Narrative of Services:
Since 2021 100% of my practice is OCD or anxiety related disorders with co-occuring trauma, personality disorders and/or ADHD. I work with a wide variety of presentations using ERP, I-CBT, ACT or Somatic Experiencing. I have treated countless individuals with OCD, providing focused, evidence-based care tailored to their needs and values.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I have worked with a multitude of co-occuring disorders, primarily borderline personality disorder, ADHD, autism and trauma. I work on providing psychoeducation and clear, actionable skills to support addressing the primary concerns first as well as managing co-occurring issues with learned skills as the symptoms arise. I am operate transparently with my clients. I am confident in managing multiple issues and competent in offering resources if specific symptoms or situations arise that are outside of my scope of practice.
Training Description:
I have been working directly with OCD and anxiety related disorders since 2018. I have completed supervision with OCD focus and over 20+ trainings on treating OCD and anxiety related disorders. I take new trainings on OCD and stay current on research to shift my practice as we learn more about the human experience as it relates to OCD, the brain and body.
Diversity Statement:
I have been honored to support a wide client demographic and often work with members of the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, women and first responders.
In my practice, I acknowledge, honor and dignify each clients lived experiences as I believe each client is the expert in themselves. I will take the time to learn about you and your life experiences.
It is also my duty to take the burden off of clients to teach me all of their cultural experiences thus I prioritize broadening my expertise through specific trainings based on the individuals that enter my practice.
I have completed a variety of cultural competency trainings relating to the above populations to enhance my quality of care as well as trainings focused on cultural traumas, motivational interviewing, OCD and anxiety. I have always worked well with diverse populations across genders, races, cultures and ages.
I continue to take necessary trainings as new individuals present into my practice. I am open to feedback and discussion about differences in cultures and lived experiences in sessions to support transparency, trust and effective care.
