Carla Kenney, MA, LMHC
Narrative of Services:
I provide home and community-based behavior therapy to children, adolescents and adults with OCD and related disorders. I also work with children diagnosed with PANDAS/PANS and Aspergers. I use cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP) as the primary treatment for OCD. I travel throughout Massachusetts doing in-home and community treatment. All behavior plans are tailored to the individual seeking treatment and I emphasize a collaborative relationship between therapist and client.
I began working in the field of psychiatry in 1998. I was trained at the OCD Institute at McLean Hospital working with individuals diagnosed with OCD and related disorders. I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Assumption College and was awarded certificates in child & family therapy along with cognitive-behavioral therapy through the Aaron T. Beck Institute for Cognitive Studies. I have worked in various settings in addition to working independently as a licensed home-based behavior therapist. I supervise therapists and provide consultations and in-service educational lectures. I am affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital and am a professional member of the IOCDF. I am the vice president of OCD Massachusetts and run a lecture series and support groups at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, MA.
