Laurie Krauth specializes in treating anxiety, particularly OCD and OCD Spectrum Disorders. These clients (roughly 100 or more so far) generally comprise at least 75 percent of her practice. She offers therapist-assisted exposure and response prevention (ERP) in her office, in clients’ homes, in cars and elsewhere. She uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She uses Habit Reversal Training, the Comprehensive Behavioral Model (comB), and ACT with clients with body-focused problems (trichotillomania, skin picking, nail biting). She also helps individuals and couples with sexual and relationship concerns, women’s and LGBT issues, and depression.
Psychotherapist Laurie Krauth, M.A., L.L.P.*, has specialized in OCD treatment since 1998. She is an advisory board member of the OCD Foundation of Michigan, and has lectured and offered consultation to therapists on OCD treatment. She attended a 1-year mentorship program through the University of Michigan, has attended numerous seminars, and consults weekly in peer supervision with colleagues.
