100% of my practice is working with those with OCD or a related condition. As someone with lived experience who went through ERP as a child, when I started my own practice I wanted it to be focused on this specific condition because I know life can be better and recovery is possible.
The focus of my treatment is OCD, but I am well-versed in integrating neurodivergence awareness and accommodations into the modality through working with neurodivergent clients for several years. I use CBIT (Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics) to treat tic disorders.
I have 15 years of experience as a clinical social worker, including 2 years of assessment and diagnosis of OCD and related conditions such as ADHD and autism and 1 year of therapy work. I have completed 30+ hours of training in ERP and 5 hours in ACT for OCD through the Cognitive Behavioral Institute, in addition to 15+ hours of training in I-CBT with clinicians trained directly by the founder of I-CBT. I participated in a research study through the University of Utah training clinicians in using CBIT for tic disorders, as well as numerous additional trainings.
I have worked with people from all walks of life as a social worker, including refugees and immigrants, foster parents and youth, medically complex patients, people with ADHD, autism, OCD, tic disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors, etc. I speak Spanish conversationally and enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures. I am active in my Christian church community and love meeting people where they are in their journeys.
